DESCRIPTION:What is Go4IT?Go4IT\, offered by the satw (Swiss Academy of Technical Science)\, is a two-part workshop designed for 1st and 2nd secondary school classes\, focusing on career orientation in IT and laptop programming within a team setting. Over four school hours\, students not only recognize biases in career choices but also boost their self-esteem. The workshop provides insights into the diversity of IT professions\, sheds light on their significance\, and demonstrates how relevant skills can influence current challenges. The objective is to engage students playfully and enjoyably\, fostering enthusiasm for the world of IT and technology. \n\n\n\nHow is GirlsCodeToo involved?We teach our ImagiCharm Keychain Programming Workshop. The students create their own pixelated designs in Python. The basics of programming are taught in an intuitive way\, using the ImagiCharm Keychains to display the coded designs and see live how changing code lines on a computer directly changes the output.
