Workshop: Dance and Programming with Sphero Robots

In collaboration with the Canton of Zurich, a camp is organized where girls can learn a whole range of dance styles and an introduction to programming is offered.

While learning fun dance steps and choreographies, students will receive a hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of coding by programming a Sphero robot to navigate a path. Students can challenge themselves by creating more complex obstacle courses for their robot to complete!

How is GirlsCodeToo involved?
In the dance and programming camp, we first give you an introduction about technology and robotics, before moving on to the important part: programming! We use the Sphero robots, and in just a few hours students can make them drive at various speeds, turn, avoid obstacles and a combination of all these commands in playful challenges! Here specifically, we can make the robots dance 💃
